Grievance Redressal & Content Classification

Watch On is a curated on-demand streaming service operated by Zathem Media. This page sets out how we classify our content and how you can raise a grievance regarding any content or service on our platform.

1. Content Classification

All content offered on Watch On is self-classified in accordance with the age-based classification framework prescribed under the IT Rules, 2021.

U Every title on Watch On is rated "U" (Universal).

"U" content is suitable for viewing by persons of all ages. Watch On does not host, stream, or offer any content classified as U/A 7+, U/A 13+, U/A 16+, or "A" (Adult), and does not host any obscene, pornographic, or age-restricted material of any kind.

The classification rating is displayed to users within the application. Because our entire catalogue is "U" rated, no title requires age verification or restricted access.

U — Universal, suitable for all ages. (All Watch On content falls here.)
U/A 7+, U/A 13+, U/A 16+ — parental guidance ratings (not used — no such content is offered).
A — Adult / restricted (not used — never offered on Watch On).

2. Parental Controls

Because Watch On offers exclusively "U" (Universal) rated content that is appropriate for all audiences, no content on the platform triggers the age-restriction or parental-lock requirements of the IT Rules, 2021.

Should Watch On ever introduce content requiring an age rating of U/A 13+ or higher in the future, an access-control (parental lock) mechanism and age-verification will be implemented before any such content is made available, as required by the Rules.

3. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

In accordance with Rule 11 of the IT Rules, 2021, Watch On has established a grievance redressal mechanism and appointed a Grievance Officer based in India to receive and resolve complaints.

How to file a grievance

Email your complaint to our Grievance Officer at the address below.
Include your registered email/number, a description of the grievance, and the title or screen concerned.

Resolution timelines

We will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours of receipt.
We will dispose of / resolve the complaint within 15 days of receipt.

Three-tier structure

The IT Rules, 2021 establish a three-tier grievance structure. Watch On operates at:

Level I — Self-regulation by the publisher: the Grievance Officer named above.
Level II — Self-regulating body of publishers.
Level III — Oversight mechanism of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.

If you are not satisfied with the resolution provided at Level I, you may escalate in accordance with the Rules.

4. Undertaking

Watch On undertakes that it hosts only "U" (Universal) rated content, hosts no adult or obscene content, and uses its payment gateway solely for the collection of subscription fees for this application.
